SUMMARY:Volunteer Sign-Up - Community Outreach Day for We Care of Central Florida
DESCRIPTION:The June Community Outreach Day (CORD) will be in support of We Care of Central Florida. The CORD will take place at Lakeland REALTORS \, in the classroom\, due to space limitations at We Care office. The CORD project will be packing hygiene care packages. We Care will provide all the items for care packages. A representative from We Care will be on-site to share the We Care mission and provide instructions and oversight for the CORD project. Volunteer Attire: Lakeland REALTORS Volunteer shirt and closed-toe shoes.We Care of Central Florida (We Care) was initiated in 1998 by the Polk County Medical Association for the purpose of increasing access to specialty medical care for low-income\, uninsured residents of Polk County. Today\, We Care is a well-established referral program\, with a 120-member strong\, and growing\, network of volunteer physicians\, allied healthcare professionals\, diagnostic and surgical facilities\, and administrative support staff dedicated and passionate to bringing change to our community.
