Volunteer Sign-Up - Community Outreach Day at Boys & Girls Club of Polk County - James J. Musso Club

Description

The April Community Outreach Day will be at the Boys & Girls Club of Polk County - James J. Musso Club in Lakeland. Volunteers will assist with a few service projects to beautify and improve the space for Club members! 

Volunteer projects include:

  • Painting the girls' bathroom
  • Painting the game room
  • Organizing the supply closet
  • Organizing the back storage room

Volunteer Required Attire: Closed-toed shoes and clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on.

Today’s Boys & Girls Clubs of Polk County
is more than just a safe place.

The Clubs provide a proactive alternative to school failure and the cycle of poverty that grips many of the families whose children they serve.

The Club offers academic, nutritional, and civic programs that help children at every stage of development:

  • Primary schoolers struggling with homework
  • Teenagers making the difficult transition to adulthood
  • High school students facing choices about college and career
