ADVANCED MATRIX
10 A.M.-Noon | 2-hr Specialty CE Credit | FREC# 0031804

This advanced course strengthens MLS proficiency by teaching real estate professionals to use Matrix’s most powerful tools for research, searching, and customer management. Participants will learn advanced search techniques, map based filters, custom displays, Speed Bar shortcuts, and methods to refine and organize listing results. The course also covers Hot Sheets, Market Watch, saved searches, auto emails, carts, and customer activity tracking through the Contacts Dashboard. Learners will leave equipped to navigate Matrix with greater efficiency and accuracy, supporting more informed decision making and enhanced customer service.

Course Objectives

1. Customize & Navigate the Dashboard
   Create a personalized Matrix dashboard by adding/reordering widgets and locating key functions across My Matrix, Search, Stats, Tax, Links, Finance, Add/Edit, Market Reports, and Reciprocal MLS.
2. Run Advanced Searches Efficiently
   Perform complex searches using added fields (via Listing Data Entry Form), wildcard queries in Public Remarks, map tools (radius/rectangle/polygon/freehand/boundaries), and Speed Bar shorthand/shortcuts.
3. Optimize Results & Market Insights
   Build a custom results grid (add/remove/reorder columns, set widths/wrap), and generate market intelligence using Stats, Market Watch, and Hot Sheets (including saving/configuring at least one of each).
4. Automate Client Communication & Tracking
   Set up and manage saved searches, one-time emails, and auto emails (including concierge), curate Carts, and monitor client activity using the Contacts Dashboard, OneHome Timeline, and Portal Notification Settings.
   
   

COMPARATIVE MARKET ANALYSIS (CMA) TOOLS

This Continuing Education course provides real estate professionals with a comprehensive and systematic examination of the Comparative Market Analysis process. Participants will learn to conduct thorough research using iMapp, Realist, and Matrix, accurately interpret public record data, and apply industry-aligned methods for identifying and refining comparable properties. The course offers detailed instruction on the use of valuation principles, market analysis
techniques to support sound pricing recommendations, and more.
In addition, learners will create a fully developed CMA within Matrix, including report customization, mapping, statistical review, and professional presentation standards. Upon completion, participants will be equipped to produce precise, data-supported CMA reports that meet the expectations of both customers and industry best practices.

Course Objectives:

1. Understand the Role and Value of a CMA
   Explain the function of a Comparative Market Analysis (CMA), differentiate it from an appraisal, and identify key elements used to estimate property value.
2. Conduct Effective Public Record Research Using iMapp and Realist
   Utilize iMapp and Realist tools to locate, analyze, and customize public record data and reports for identifying strong comparable properties and market trends.
3. Perform and Refine Comparable Searches Using Matrix
   Use Matrix search tools and criteria — such as property status, location, square footage, and features — to find and evaluate comparable properties.
4.  Create, Adjust, and Deliver Professional CMA Reports in Matrix
   Generate CMA reports in Matrix, apply appropriate adjustments with broker guidance, and customize output formats for compelling, client-ready presentations.
