Professional Standards Training for Committee Members
This comprehensive course is designed to educate Professional Standards and Grievance Committee members on their vital roles in upholding the REALTOR® Code of Ethics. Through engaging lectures, real-world case studies, and interactive mock hearings, participants will gain a clear understanding of due process, complaint handling, and arbitration procedures as outlined in the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Professional Standards Manual.
Key learning objectives include:
- Understanding the distinct functions of the Professional Standards and Grievance Committees
- Navigating the ethics enforcement and arbitration process
- Applying fair and consistent decision-making practices in hearings
This training meets the NAR Code of Ethics Training requirement for Cycle 8 (January 1, 2025 – December 31, 2027).
While the course is designed for Professional Standards and Grievance Committee members, REALTOR® members interested in learning more about the process are welcome to attend if seats are still available.
Lunch (salad and pizza) will be provided, as this course will be a "working lunch meeting."
