Community Outreach Day with Achievement Academy - Volunteer Sign-Up
Friday, August 14, 2026 (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM) (EDT)
Description
Achievement Academy CORD will be outside spreading mulch and possibly doing other light landscaping work. If you have yard gloves, rake, shovel, and/or wheelbarrow that you can bring for the CORD that would be helpful. Volunteers are also encouraged to bring hats, sunscreen, water bottles, etc., as this CORD will be entirely outdoors.
- ALL volunteers must have their driver's license with them and be prepared to fill out a short volunteer registration form.
- ALL volunteers MUST wear closed-toe shoes (sneakers) for safety.
- Members should wear their Lakeland REALTORS® volunteer shirts & comfortable clothing.
Members may pick up a shirt at the Association.
Achievement Academy has served children with developmental delays and disabilities for more than 68 years. Opening in 1955 as United Cerebral Palsy, Achievement Academy has expanded over the years to include children with various types of developmental delays or disabilities
Today, they are a non-profit United Way partner agency and public Charter School serving children with special needs from birth through age five. They serve the children in our community through two programs: the Birth to Three early intervention program and our ESE Charter PreK. Both are offered at no charge to the children and their families.
